The Sex Ed Bakeshop is launching and there’s no better occasion than the annual Mermaid Parade on June 17, 2023 to throw a coming out party!
Body and sex positivity reign supreme at the annual Mermaid Parade at Coney Island in Brooklyn. The parade is a beautiful display of identities, creativity, and odes to the sea and all of its creatures. It celebrates and honors individuality, queerness, openness and artistry, and it’s the perfect platform to message about consent.
Come out to celebrate with the Sex Ed Bakeshop as we put our beliefs about the essential topic of consent on display with our Tails of Consent human-powered float, complete with sea-worthy props and merpeople-approved missives. Leave with temporary tattoos, uniquely messaged condoms about consent, and a little extra color on your cheeks or tail!
